Do you believe in Coincidence? I Don’t

When you don’t believe in coincidence this is how it works……

A couple of weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night.  Couldn’t go back to sleep. Worry, anxiety, etc were clearly out of the cage.

After a few minutes I reach for my phone and see that I have a text message from my friend Steve Ganss out in Texas.  Just a link to the song I shared and a short note.

I had never heard of Josh Garrels before but I hit the play button and listened to the song a few times, then a couple more of his songs.  Then I went back to sleep.  Battle over, for now.  It was not the first time God has worked through Steve in my life.

Worth noting?  A few things……. I hadn’t talked to Steve in months prior to receiving that message, it just arrived out of the blue in the middle of the night.  Additionally, the text was sent to me over two hours before I woke up.  So, two hours before the battle the provisions I needed, in this case to win a mental / spiritual battle, were there waiting for me.  Just like the tree Zacheus climbed to see Jesus was waiting for him over two thousand years ago.  That’s how it works.

If you trust God to take care of you, to meet your needs, then you have to trust that the things you need from Him are already there waiting for you.  The big stuff the small stuff, already there.  Do your part, that is required, but have faith while you do it.  There is indeed big stuff to us but it is all small stuff to God.

Listen to the words to this song.  Seriously, great lyrics.  That’s good stuff right there.  Get in the boat.
