Pick a room in your house, any room. Clean it out and clean it up from top to bottom, then watch what happens.
You will revisit that space for no specific reason. Maybe you just stand there and look at it, perhaps sit for a moment to just be in it.
Why? Because in that specific space, in that part of your life, there is order. There is…. peace.
Figuratively speaking, our lives are like our home. Full of different rooms, different spaces. I mean, the list is long….
There is your actual home with all its rooms. Then there is your vehicle, finances, relationships, Faith, health, hobbies, thoughts, daily habits, attitude, etc. I could keep going but you get the picture.
What condition are these “spaces” of your life in? Productive and peaceful? Chaotic and draining? Perhaps somewhere in the middle?
life has taught me that Chaos is the devil’s playground and if the enemy and his minions can get you living in chaos, or even close to it, then that’s an outright win for them, as there is no peace, and limited productivity, in chaos.
Know this…. God is not chaos. The enemy is chaos. God is Peace. The enemy is not Peace. We are designed to thrive in Peace, not just exist in chaos.
When we find ourselves in the midst of chaos, asking God for help with, over, around, or through something, don’t be surprised if He tells you…. “Go clean your room”.
On the flip side. He will totally help you with the process. The clean out, clean up, repairs, upgrades, reorganization, prioritization, and then, the protection of that space once it is in order.
The only thing required on your end…. is giving Him access to the room.
